Happy 2009

We'd like to wish everyone a Happy New Year. 2008 was great, and we hope 2009 will be even better. We will be playing to play at The Cozy for the first time on Friday February 27th. We enjoy having the oportunity to play at a new venue, and The Cozy is a great place. The Cozy will be the place to be that weekend, and we're really excited about it We hope you all come out and party with us. Also we're playing at the Hacienda again this weekend. When we played there last the place was packed. We had a great time so come on out this weekend and we'll do it again.

Party at the Haci for Steve's Birthday

We're playing at the Hacienda the 26th and 27th. It's Steve's Birthday so help us celebrate by coming out to party with us the weekend after Christmas. We would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas, and we hope to see you at Haci this Friday and Saturday.

Flood Relief Concerts

Well it seems that both flood relief concerts were plagued by rain. At the one in Seymour we it started during MTX's performance and the outside stage was forced to change their schedule. Fortunately, we were playing inside that night and we had a blast. Our thanks go to the Tri-County Music Team and Crossroads for the good work they did and for letting us take part in it.

At our own concert at the bowling center it started during Code Blue's performance. They were really great for hanging in there as long as they did. We would like to thank them, Norm Smith, and the Resistors for playing that day and to apologize to Highway 65 for not being able to play. We would also like to thank everyone who helped us to help the community, and to everyone who came and donated. Despite the show being cut short after about 3 hours, we still raised over $1500 dollars and collected a truck load of food to distribute to those in the area who need it.

We played our last show at the Haci with Rick playing drums this weekend and Omer came by Saturday and played a couple of songs with us too. We would all like to thank Rick and Omer for helping us out.

We had fun last weekend playing the Hacienda again, and next weekend we'll be out at the American Legion. Hope to see you there.

It's 2008. We've had a busy couple of months: 4 weekends at the Hacienda, a private party, we took a little family time for the holidays, and we did some more recording. That's right. We have another little sample ready for you here.

Rest and Relaxation

We've had a lot of fun. It's been 4 weekends in a row for us, but it's been a lot of work too so we're glad to have a weekend off to relax and spend some time with our families. We'll be back at it again next week at the American Legion so we hope to see you there.

Alright, the Block Party was a blast. Our thanks go out to everyone involved. This weekend coming up we get to play at the Eagles Lodge for the first time. We can't wait. Hope to see you there.

I get surprised. The last blog I said we would have a couple weeks off. Then we get a call. We were asked to play that night for the Hacienda. We had a good time out there. I also said we would not be able to get rockfather.com back. Then we ended up buying that too. So now you can reach us at either address rockfather.net or rockfather.com.

So I guess the lesson for the day is sometimes surprises are good.

Then you already know. We have a new address. I don't know what to say about that except that we always make the best with what's available, and that we're just as well off.

We played the Hacienda last week. It's been some time since we've been there, and we had a blast. Now we a few weeks off. Which is good or our families might forget what we look like. Next month we're going to hit it hard again. On July 13th and 14th we'll be back at the American Legion again, and that starts off another 4 weeks in a row.

I'm especially looking forward to the Block Party this year. I go every year just to enjoy the party. I can't wait to actually play there. We hope to see you there too.

We've been busy

...and it's been hard to keep up with everything, but it's been a lot of fun at the same time. We hope to have the web address back working in a couple of weeks. We also booked our first gig for the Eagles Lodge in Columbus. We'll be playing there August 3rd and 4th. Check out our schedule page to see all the places we'l be playing.
